Make room for the practice.
Bring a short impression, an illustrative dream, or a willing partner. Read a complete biblical paragraph or narrative before drawing an application.
Pathway 03 · Discern · context and wise testing
Study context, compare possibilities, and receive feedback.
Weigh
Write a considered interpretation with a contextual Scripture connection and a clearly stated open question.
Begin
Bring a short impression, an illustrative dream, or a willing partner. Read a complete biblical paragraph or narrative before drawing an application.
Develop
Use Three Columns to separate experience, interpretation, and response. Study Scripture Convergence and the Biblical Connection Exercise. Compare independent accounts only after each person records their own words. Close with a Calibration Round.
Your learning sequence
Preserve a dream account, compare plausible interpretations, and identify a proportionate response.
Create a faithful phrase analysis that separates explicit language, possible meaning, biblical connections, and questions.
Create one biblical connection that distinguishes the text’s teaching, a possible thematic parallel, and a proportionate application.
Complete a three column record that makes the movement from experience to interpretation to action easy to examine.
Create a comparison record that identifies exact agreements, broad similarities, differences, and the limits of the group’s conclusions.
Practice accountable listening by preserving independent impressions, examining both similarities and differences, and inviting the recipient to weigh the words freely.
Develop a contextual biblical rationale for retaining, revising, or holding a proposed interpretation and its application.
Compare intended meaning with received meaning and revise the communication using observable feedback.
Reflection
Which parts of your interpretation are well supported? Which remain possible? How did context or feedback change your wording?

Keep independent notes separate until the comparison stage. Discuss differences as fully as similarities. Similarity can invite reflection; claims of divine origin remain matters of discernment.
