Facilitation & multiplication

Make room
for others
to grow.

Prepare with clarity. Guide with care. Listen to what the practice reveals.

Prepare a session

Equip

  1. 01Choose one learning outcome
  2. 02Agree on participation and care
  3. 03Guide a bounded practice
  4. 04Receive feedback and review fruit

Before the gathering

Prepare the people, purpose, and place.

Choose and rehearse

Select the exercise, read its complete page, and complete it yourself. Name one observable outcome such as accurately recording an impression or offering clear encouragement. Read the biblical passage in context. Rehearse the instructions and timer, and choose the materials participants can access.

Invite participation

Explain the activity, timing, options for quiet or written reflection, and the freedom to pass. Ask about access needs privately. Use a comfortable room, readable text, verbal descriptions of images, and planned breaks. Agree how personal details will be handled.

Prepare your language

Distinguish ordinary observations, reported impressions, possible interpretations, and chosen actions. Present illustrative examples as invented teaching material. Attribute testimony to its speaker. Welcome a quiet interval as an honest experience participants can record.

Prepare support

Identify the host contact and appropriate pastoral or professional support. Keep the practice focused on encouragement and discernment. When high stakes decisions arise, support thoughtful counsel and the participant’s own agency.

Opening invitation · ready to speak

“You have room to participate in a way that fits you.”

“Today we will practice attentive listening, biblical reflection, and gracious encouragement. You may join a pair, write privately, pray quietly, or pause. Please ask before offering a personal word. Each recipient may weigh what is shared and decide what to carry forward. Keep personal details within the agreed conversation. Our purpose is to learn with humility, care, and love.”

A format for your setting

Give the session a clear shape.

10 minutes

2 minutes welcome and context; 5 minutes one focused practice; 2 minutes reflection; 1 minute next step.

Choose a single prompt from an exercise and tell the group the activity is a shortened practice.

30 minutes

Use one complete flagship workshop with its timed agenda and facilitator notes.

Leave room for voluntary feedback and a saved or personal journal reflection.

60 minutes

5 minutes welcome; 10 minutes Scripture and demonstration; 20 minutes two practice rounds; 15 minutes debrief; 5 minutes next steps; 5 minutes closing.

Select related exercises and adapt their timings explicitly.

90 minutes

10 minutes orientation; 15 minutes contextual teaching; 20 minutes first exercise; 5 minutes break; 20 minutes second exercise; 15 minutes reflection; 5 minutes closing.

Use a break and offer individual reflection alongside paired practice.

Half day

20 minutes welcome; 30 minutes biblical study; 40 minutes practice; 15 minutes break; 40 minutes practice and feedback; 25 minutes application; 10 minutes closing.

Choose one pathway and two exercises appropriate to the group.

Multiweek series

One pathway per gathering, or repeat a single pathway across several weeks.

Ask participants to revisit actual practice, feedback, open questions, and observed fruit at the next gathering.

Observe learning

Describe what participants practiced.

Use the five dimensions for reflection and feedback. Ask for a specific example supporting a selected description. Spiritual significance and divine origin remain matters of discernment.

01

Accurate recording

Can I distinguish what I observed from what I inferred?

02

Biblical context

Have I considered the surrounding passage and its meaning?

03

Care and consent

Did my actions honor the other person’s choice and dignity?

04

Clear communication

Was my language understandable and proportionate to what I knew?

05

Responsive stewardship

Did I receive feedback and choose a suitable next step?

  • Beginning: I can name the practice
  • Developing: I practiced with support
  • Consistent: I can explain my choices
  • Reflective: I can adapt using feedback

A participant may leave a dimension unrated. Use the reflection to choose a helpful next practice. Completion records document reported participation and learning.

During the session

Respond with steadiness.

A recipient says the word feels inaccurate

Thank them for the feedback. Ask the speaker to preserve the actual response and revise any retelling accordingly. Invite the recipient to set the interpretation aside or reflect further as they choose.

A participant becomes uncomfortable or distressed

Pause the activity, offer space, and ask what would help. Keep personal explanation optional. Connect the participant with appropriate trusted or professional support when requested or when urgent safety concerns arise.

A personal impression concerns health, money, or relationships

Bring the conversation back to prayer, encouragement, and careful discernment. Support the person in using appropriate professional advice, trusted counsel, and their own decision making for consequential choices.

Several people describe similar impressions

Preserve the original independent records and any shared context. Discuss both similarities and differences. Invite continued reflection and observation of fruit over time.

After the gathering

Let feedback improve the next invitation.

Ask what was clear, where pacing or access could improve, and what participants want to practice again. Record the session date, selected exercise, actual timing, accessibility adjustments, and changes you will make. Keep personal stories attributed and shared only with permission.

Participants can save their own dated reflections on each exercise or workshop page. Facilitator review receives entries participants choose to share. Refresh sharing permissions at the start of each review. Program administration follows the existing Q45 account access controls.

Three closing questions

  1. What did you actually notice or practice?
  2. What did feedback help you understand?
  3. What is one proportionate action you choose next?
