Begin with grace and the shared body
Romans 12:3–8 places gifts within grace, humility, and the life of a shared body. Read the whole paragraph, then continue into the teaching on sincere love and practical care. Ask how the passage connects the contribution of each person with the flourishing of the community. Keep one textual observation and one personal application in separate sentences.
Notice the ordinary contribution
Recall a moment when you noticed a practical need and responded with care. You may have organized materials, welcomed someone, offered a meal, or helped another person participate. Describe the setting, what you did, and the response you observed. Repeated examples can help you identify a pattern worth prayerful exploration.
Ask what help would be useful
In a fictional neighborhood example, a person wants to support a neighbor during a busy week. A specific question helps: Which task would make this week easier? The neighbor identifies a small errand and a suitable time. The act of serving grows from attention to the recipient and an agreement that fits both people.

Give the practice a sustainable rhythm
Choose one manageable act this week. Identify any permission, preparation, or support it requires. After the action, record what happened and ask for specific feedback when appropriate. Review your capacity, include rest, and select one adjustment before continuing.
