Subject: 2027 Missional Journey — Possible Collaboration When I Am in Your Region

Dear Pastor and Ministry Leadership Team,

I hope you are doing well. My name is Dr. Sherry-Ann Brown. I am a physician scientist, cardiologist, educator, author, and Christian leader, and throughout 2027 I will be undertaking a yearlong missional journey around the United States. Rather than moving rapidly from city to city, I am planning longer regional stays, generally several weeks at a time, so that I can build relationships, serve locally, learn from communities, and create meaningful opportunities for people to gather.

I am reaching out because your church or ministry is already connected in some meaningful way with the formation, relationships, or geographic path surrounding this journey, and I would love to explore whether something mutually valuable might take place while I am in your region.

Among the experiences I am developing are Convergence Q45 workshops, highly interactive gatherings designed to help people identify and steward their gifts, strengths, lived experience, professional capacities, relationships, and opportunities for service. Participants work individually and collaboratively through gift maps, strength constellations, real world challenges, team exercises, and practical ways that multiple people and capabilities can converge to address needs in churches, homes, workplaces, professions, businesses, government, and communities.

I am also developing Convergence book parties and literary salons around my digital first books. These are intimate, relational gatherings rather than conventional bookstore signings. Participants can discuss the ideas in the book, engage in conversation and exercises, meet one another, and connect the material with their own lives and communities. Digital readers may also reserve a limited physical NFC enabled author collectible that can be personalized and signed in person and linked back to their digital reading experience. Print editions can be specially ordered when available.

Other possibilities during a regional residency may include leadership and stewardship workshops; gifts and strengths workshops; team science and collaborative problem solving experiences; conversations for Christian professionals and people working in healthcare, science, education, entrepreneurship and community leadership; small group gatherings; women’s formation experiences; and selected speaking, teaching, mentoring, or community building opportunities appropriate to the church or ministry.

I am also developing a small Local Field Fellowship for women. Selected participants prepare virtually and then, when the journey reaches their own state or region, participate in a structured local fellowship week involving shared spiritual formation, Scripture, prayer, listening and discernment practice, reflection, community, selected meals and activities, followed by virtual integration. The model is deliberately local so that women ordinarily can participate near home rather than undertaking expensive cross country travel.

I am approaching each church through listening and mutual discernment. I would value learning about your congregation, leadership priorities, community, and calendar and then determining whether there is a natural point of convergence. Possibilities could range from a small gathering around a table to a workshop, book party, professional community gathering, women’s fellowship experience, or another format that genuinely serves your people.

My anticipated 2027 route is being refined around longer regional residencies and existing relationships, so I am beginning these conversations early enough to allow ideas to develop thoughtfully.
