Medicine taught me that every illness has two stories.
One story lives in laboratory results, imaging, pathology, medications, procedures, and clinical guidelines. The other lives in fear, identity, relationships, meaning, hope, grief, faith, family, mortality, purpose, and unanswered questions.

Dr. Brown is a physician, physician scientist, board-certified cardiologist, clinical educator, researcher, innovator, medical-humanities contributor, healthcare leader, and longstanding educator concerning spiritual needs in healthcare.
Her preparation includes BA with High Honors and MA degrees in Physics from Wesleyan University; MD and PhD training in Biomedical Sciences; Internal Medicine residency, Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship, and Clinician Investigator Program training at Mayo Clinic; clinical-informatics and postdoctoral research; fellowship in the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association; academic faculty experience; cardiovascular and cardio-oncology research; scientific publications and textbook chapters; national and international presentations; artificial-intelligence scholarship and editorial leadership; health-equity leadership; preventive cardiology; cardio-oncology; clinical informatics; medical education; global health; medical missions; medical humanities; mentoring; and professional development.
Her longstanding work at the intersection of medicine and spiritual care includes Christian Medical & Dental Associations leadership, committee and advisory participation, faculty teaching, bedside faith-and-medicine workshops, education about prayer and spiritual needs, Summer Medical Institute Philadelphia faculty service, mentoring, international medical missions, and whole-person care.
Thoughtful healthcare should make room for both stories.
Why I built this
Patients frequently search in disconnected places for medical information, prayer, caregiver guidance, spiritual support, chaplaincy, grief support, meaning, difficult-decision help, and healthcare communication scripts. This platform connects those experiences responsibly. Medicine continues to evolve. Research continues to grow. Technology continues to change. Patients and communities continue to teach us. The platform will keep learning with them.
