A place for community connection

Carmalita represented Convergence Q45 at the Greater SouthShore Chamber of Commerce’s Lunch Bunch networking gathering on Thursday, November 5, at Salty Shamrock in Apollo Beach.

The weekly gathering gives chamber members an opportunity to build relationships and introduce their organizations to the local business community. Carmalita’s participation brought Convergence Q45 into that shared space of connection and community engagement.

From individual gifts to shared contribution

Founded by Dr. Sherry-Ann Brown, MD, PhD, FACC, FAHA, Convergence Q45 helps people explore how spiritual gifts, personal strengths, personality, and lived experience can come together in purposeful leadership and service. Its workshops invite participants to consider how their discoveries can shape practical contributions in workplaces, families, churches, and communities.

The mission’s local engagement gives a practical setting to that exploration: being present, learning about the surrounding community, and considering where individual contributions can serve a shared need. These are opportunities for continued reflection and relationship building.

An invitation to continue the exploration

The upcoming When Gifts and Strengths Converge community workshop is scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. Eastern at Ybor Grille, 339 19th Avenue NE, Ruskin. Admission is complimentary and advance registration is required.

Participants will have opportunities to develop a Personal Convergence Map, refine a Convergence Identity + Assignment Statement, and choose a First Faithful Move: a practical step to carry their learning into everyday life. The wider journey includes a 30-Day Stewardship Plan and a 90-Day Living Fruit Record to support continued reflection and action.

We thank Carmalita for representing Convergence Q45 and helping carry its mission into the SouthShore community, where individual gifts can become shared contributions.
