Why is there a registration charge for some Convergence Q45 sessions?
The registration charge helps support the complete facilitated experience surrounding each session. Registration contributions help provide thoughtful session preparation, facilitation, participant worksheets and integration tools, digital or printed materials, technology and registration infrastructure, venue and supply needs when applicable, participant follow-up resources, and continued development of the Convergence Q45 experience.
The sessions are designed to move beyond simply receiving information. Participants actively work with their gifts, strengths, personality, sphere of influence, experiences, and real life situations. The materials and facilitation help participants translate insight into practical understanding and application.
A modest registration contribution also supports intentional participation. Participants who make a commitment to attend are more likely to reserve the time, prepare in advance, complete relevant activities, bring their materials, and participate fully in the experience.
What does the registration charge support?
Depending on the particular session, registration contributions may support:
- Session preparation and facilitation - Participant guides, worksheets, reflection tools, and integration materials - Digital resources and take home tools - Printing, supplies, and other in person materials - Meeting space or event related expenses - Virtual session technology - Registration and participant administration - Assessment related resources when applicable - Follow-up materials and participant growth resources - Continued development and refinement of Convergence Q45 tools and programming
The goal is to create an experience that is prepared, substantive, accessible, and useful beyond the session itself.
Why are some introductory experiences offered without charge?
An introductory experience can provide an accessible entry point into the Convergence Q45 framework. Participants can become familiar with the concepts, experience the approach, and determine how the deeper sessions may serve their personal, professional, vocational, or service related development.
Deeper sessions involve progressively more facilitation, application, integration, participant resources, and individualized reflection.
How would the program operate if every session were offered without charge?
A fully sponsored model could still provide meaningful programming. The delivery model would generally rely more heavily on digital resources, donated or sponsored meeting space, freely available assessments and tools, streamlined participant administration, and external financial support.
The expenses associated with facilitation, materials, technology, administration, venues, supplies, and program development would then need to be supported by Convergence Q45, a sponsoring organization, grants, charitable support, institutional partnerships, or another funding source.
Registration contributions allow the program to maintain a richer facilitated experience while preserving broad access.
Does paying a registration charge mean that I am simply paying for the facilitator's time?
The registration contribution supports the broader experience surrounding the session. Facilitation is one component. Participants also receive the benefit of curriculum development, preparation, structured exercises, integration resources, participant materials, administration, technology, and resources designed for continued use after the gathering.
What is the philosophy behind the registration model?
Convergence Q45 seeks to preserve both accessibility and depth.
Introductory opportunities can create a wide doorway into the experience. Modestly priced deeper sessions can support the resources, preparation, facilitation, and infrastructure needed for participants to engage more fully.
The guiding principle is simple:
Open the doorway widely. Equip people substantially once they enter.
